Flyers
Concept
We want our flyers to be postcard sized and to include the colour scheme of Jemporium colours (teal blue, yellow and pink). Jenny has given us details she wants on the flyers such as location, slogan, logo and opening times. We have been working on photoshop to create these mock ups that fit the criteria.
Market position
The market position for the flyer is a easy small postcard size mini information sheet for people to easily pick up and give out to other people to promote the shop. Local audience will be interested in the new advertising range and want to look at it.
Target audience
The target audience for the poster are for boys and girls as the shop is aimed at both and the flyer is all about the shop. It has all the information people who want to shop there on it.
Budget
We found all sorts of offers for flyer printing online, prices rang from 1000 flyers for £15 to 5000 for £27. Until we know how many our client wants printed we have researched into the prices to then feedback to the client to see what she'd like best. Here is some screenshots of the websites we looked at.

Risk
Risks involved with creating our flyers could include, inserting the wrong information and details into the flyers such as adress or telephone number and email.
Schedule
We've set ourself 2 weeks to create the flyers as we've got to get some ideas together like photos of the shop for the back ground, finding out the opening times and then coming back to edit and make up on photoshop all together and get feedback to make them all perfect.
Poster
Concept
On our posters we want use 4 models to show off the clothing range and how different people and genders can all look good in Jemporium clothes. We also want to add on the logo and email adress so people will know what the poster is about. To also show some information about the shop we want to add price tags to show the clothes the models are wearing prices. We will make it colourful and follow all of Jenny's feedback to make it most appealing for the target audience.
Future development
To make the poster better when editing we want to add brown tags to look like they're on the clothes in the shop to show the reasonable prices and when putting the poster together trying out different fonts, colours, borders, layouts to find the best one to show Jemporium's style. We were also thinking about framing 'Jemporium Vintage' in a vintage frame to show the vintage edge and make the poster more about what Jemporium sells.
Budget
To create the posters we researched that to print off 100 A3 posters could cost us £42 on this particular website http://www.just-printing.co.uk/100-a3-posters.html. As we don't know specially how many posters our clients wants for now we will design the poster to then see what sizes and how many would be appropriate to buy.
Risk
Risks involved in creating the plastic bags using the laptops could include tripping over the extension leads on the floor in the classroom, the probability is unlikely but to minimize the risk there are signs we put over the top of the leads which tell people to be careful. Risks such as water spilling on the floor making it slippery could occur, it's quite likely so to prevent this risk water bottles and any foods or drinks are not permitted anywhere near the laptops.
Additional issues with making the poster include inserting the wrong information such as the address and website. To prevent this we will double check everything on Photoshop before we export it and send it to Jenny.

Schedule
We set ourselves a 2 week span to create the poster, this includes the background layout and fonts as well as contacting out 4 models, editing those photos and then uploading everything to photoshop to creare the finised piece.
Bag
Concept
We want our bags to be simple as they're just being used to carry the brought products but to also be well known so when people around see the bag they'll know it's Jemporium for it to get more popular. We were thinking of the yellow bow which is on the logo to be put forward as the main thing for people to see and know it's to do with the shop.
Market position
The market position for the bag will be for it to be different to other shops, the brown paper bags links in with the urban chic look to go with the vintage feel of the shop.
Target audience
The target audience for these bags would be more based at girls than boys as they have a bow on them and they're little but they're very plain and simple which anyone would be happy to carry round. As they'll be very specific it'll help make the unique look of Jemporium Vintage.
Budget
We don't have the link to the website Jenny uses and she didn't give us any information on how much she pays for the bags she buys but we researched ourselves and found a range of websites displaying print plastic bags.
Other issues that could occur when creating the bags is including the wrong information onto the bags by accident, such as the address, opening times or website. Also the problem with only using one colour has limited us to creating any good design and the mocks up we made Jenny feels were too similar to recent bags in the shop.
Schedule
After there being problems with the one colour problem and our designs being too similar to Jenny's bags she already has in the store we've decided to not continue with making the bags because we feel they will let us down.
Risk assessment
Legal and ethical issues
When advertising for Jemporium we need to be careful about different things which may cause a problem when our posters and flyers are published.
Some of the issues for this advertising project is that the different things that could come across with the clothes, for example as Jemporium sell 2nd hand clothes they don't know what the history of the clothes and when they buy on a piece of clothing it could of been stolen previously which can or may cause some problems.
Another issue could be that they sell branded clothing like adidas, nike, levi, tommy hilfiger and more and when advertising this might not settle well with the big well known brands as she hasn't got their permission. When adverting it's more of a problem like if they went on to have TV adverts they would have to get consent from the companies to know that it is allowed to be shown through their products.
Also the legal age for models is 16. All of our models will be 17-18 which won't be a problem. If one of our shoots was to be in underwear or clothing which could be seen as suggestive and our model looks under the age of 16 people may find this offensive but all of our shoots will be our models fully clothed in no suggestive outfits or poses.
