Overview
They are a independent shop based in the Grafton shopping cenre in Cambridge. The shop is a in the corner opposite a sweetshop, laid out in the style of a charity shop, it's small inside but manages to have at least 4 rails of clothes, a table in the middle with accessories on, sunglasses and jewellery near the til and also 2 changing rooms for people to try their products on. They sell unique vintage clothes ranging from the 50's and the 90's fashion. They sell Levi jeans, shorts, sunglasses, denim jackets, sweat shirts, dresses and much more. They promote their products with a website http://www.jemporiumvintage.co.uk/ which includes details about them, photos of their shop, opening times, photos of the clothes and a link to their 'Ebay online vintage shop'. There logo at the moment is the screenshot above, this is also shown on bags they sell in the shop. Jemporium shows a clear target audience of young adults (15+) as their clothes are different and a certain taste to certain people.
Aims & Objectives
We aim to promote the store by making different types of print adverts which is catch the audiences eye.
Target Audience
Our target audience is a certain type of style that someone can create themselves, they sell women and mens clothes all sizes between 6 to 14. Their clothes are unique vintage clothes ranging from the 50's and the 90's fashion. They sell Levi jeans, shorts, sunglasses, denim jackets, sweat shirts, dresses and much more.
Campaign Message
The message we want to get across from designing the advertisement is to show the target audience that the clothes of Jemporium can be styled anyway you want them too and can be worn in so many different ways.
Forms in campaign
In this campaign we'll be making postcards, bags and posters. We think this will be appropriate as they are a clothing shop so a bag is always needed when costumers buy an item, postcards that are easy to pick up and give out so people can have them on them to give to other people or just keep for themselves. We think a poster is also a good idea as it can show all we want it to show in one.
Audio visual advertisement
If we were to go on and make a advertisement which either appeared on tv or the internet we would make a mini film with good music which would catch the audiences attention and have models in the clothes in places like festivals to go with the vintage theme and quirky atmosphere to promote the shop and clothing more.
Guidance from the ASA website
https://www.cap.org.uk/Advertising-Codes/Non-Broadcast.aspx
Many of the relegation's and advice on the ASA website refer to very specific things such as alcohol, tobacco, political views and more which do not have anything to do with our advertisement. But ones like 'harm and offence', 'misleading advert' and maybe 'children' as we used models in our poster which could maybe be younger than the age but we made sure that they were all the right age so there was no problems.

Legal/Ethical Issues
Some of the issues for this advertising project is that the different things that could come across with the clothes, for example as Jemporium sell 2nd hand clothes they don't know what the history of the clothes and when they buy on a piece of clothing it could of been stolen previously which can or may cause some problems.
Another issue could be that they sell branded clothing like adidas, nike, levi, tommy hilfiger and more and when advertising this might not settle well with the big well known brands as she hasn't got their permission. When adverting it's more of a problem like if they went on to have TV adverts they would have to get consent from the companies to know that it is allowed to be shown through their products.

Still need:
ReplyDelete1) launch dates
2) Actual relevant guidance from the ASA websites industry page that relates to your campaign.
You also need to outline what forms your campaign is going to adopt (eg postcards, fliers ,stickers, bags) . .. This must also include some plan for audio visual advertisment/.
